Update from Lighthouse CCCU revival
Dec 5, 2009
Dear friends & ministry partners,
We began our next revival right after Thanksgiving on Sunday, Nov. 29, at the
Lighthouse Ministries Church of Christ in Christian Union with Pastor Steve
& Debbie Palmer. The meeting continued through Wednesday, Dec. 2, and
went very well. They had over 300 in attendance on Sunday morning and had
a good crowd throughout the rest of the meeting. Roger McDaniel and the
praise team from the North Point Church of the Nazarene did an excellent job in
leading us in worship and providing the special music for the services. The
earnest and eager spirit of the congregation created an atmosphere that made it
easy to preach. There was a good response to the invitations at each
altar call and several received spiritual help during the meeting, for which we
praise the Lord.
It was good to see some of our friends come from other Columbus area churches
such as Hayden Rd. Enterprise Baptist Church, North CCCU, Olive Green CCCU, and
Reynoldsburg United Methodist Church.
We have two more revivals before the Christmas break. We will be at the
Goshen Run Church of God near Richmond Dale, OH with Pastor Jeremy Hatfield on
Dec. 6-9. The service times will be Sun. 10:30am & 6:00pm
and Mon. - Wed. at 7:00pm. Our final revival of 2009 will be Dec.
10-13, at the Murray City Wesleyan Church in Murray City, OH with Pastor Tim
Poling. The service times for that meeting will be 6:00pm each night.
We will give you another update at the conclusion of these meetings.
We appreciate your continued prayer and financial support of this ministry.

Revival updates
Sep 19, 2009
Dear friends & ministry partners,
After a very relaxing vacation in the Smokies, we
began our fall revival schedule in the Volunteer State. We were at the
First Wesleyan Church in Clinton, TN on Sept. 4-6, with their new
pastor, Rev. Dr. Stephen & Beth Flick. It was good to see them
again after meeting them and working with them for the first time at the
Tennessee District Camp back in July. In just two months, they
appear to already have a ministry strategy in place that is leading to
growth. There was a good spirit in the services and
the attendance was better than expected considering the meeting was
held over the Labor Day holiday weekend. It was a thrill to see some
people come to the Lord on Sunday morning that had not been to the church
before. We expect to hear about more exciting things happening here
in the days ahead. The Clinton Church is also the home church of our
dear friends, Dr. Marlin Hotle and his
family. We enjoyed getting to spend some extra time of
fellowship with them.
Our sons got to come home on Sunday night and we got to spend Labor Day
together. That is always a special treat. We then started our next
revival on Tuesday (Sept. 8-11), at the Community Church between
Hamiliton and Middletown with our good
friends, Pastor Jack & Vicki Woodward. Among those at the
altar during the meeting was a backsliden young
adult male who was terminally ill. We thank the Lord for His
mercy. The music for the meeting was very good, especially on Friday
night with an excellent Bluegrass Gospel group called Higher Ground. If
you like that style of music, we certainly recommend them and you can
reach them at (513)931-2350. We appreciated Pastor Roger Shaw's family
and several others who attended from the New Miami Wesleyan Church, as
well as friends from the West Chester Wesleyan Church.
After leaving the Cincinnati area on Friday night, we spent the night with our
sons in Grove City before going on to PA on Saturday evening. Our
next meeting was on Sept. 13-16, at the Lighthouse Wesleyan Church in Jersey
Shores, PA with our friends, Pastor Ken & Phyllis Lynn. We had a
great time of fellowship while staying in their home. Rev. Leroy Wion was the special singer and also did a good job of
leading us in worship. Several area churches joined us in the
services. Among them were: the Augustaville
Wesleyan Church, Summit Hill Wesleyan Church, Loganton
Wesleyan Church, Beech Creek Wesleyan Church, God's Mission Church, and a
Southern Baptist Church. We also enjoyed a special treat as we got to
take a tour of the Piper Aviation Museum in nearby Lock Haven.
We will begin our next revival tomorrow morning at the New Lexington Church of
Christ in Christian Union in New Lexington, OH with Pastor Dan Greer.
Thanks for your continued prayer and financial support of this ministry.
We appreciate all of you very much.

Update from Culloden Camp
Aug 14, 2009
Dear friends & ministry partners,
Our fourth camp of the summer was the Shenandoah District Family Camp in
Culloden, WV which was held August 3-9. The Shenanhoah District
is the product of the merger of the Virginia and West Virginia Districts
of the Wesleyan Church a few years ago.
Dr. David Hurd from Christiansburg, VA is the camp
president and Rev. Greg Reynolds is the Dist. Supt. The camp is
experiencing both a spiritual and numerical revival under their
leadership. They had record setting attendance during this years camp among children, youth,
and adults.
This was a homecoming of sorts for us since this was our district camp back in
1984 when we served as assistant pastor at the First
Wesleyan Church in Huntington, WV. It was good to see several
of our friends from the past.
It was a pleasure to minister with the other camp workers. Dr.
Paul Mills, former president of Oklahoma Wesleyan University, was the
Bible teacher. He always does such a good job and is
very insightful and down-to-earth. The Mark & Janene Dubbeld Family did an
excellent job of leading worship and special music. They have such a
good spirit about them. This was our second time to work with them but
hope it will not be the last. We would certainly recommend them
to you. Ken & Judy Davis from Roanoke, VA were the childrens workers. We also got to meet Global
Partner missionaries, Matthew & Anna Lawrence. They will be
ministering in Bosnia. Additionally, a team from Bethany Bible
College in Sussex, New Brunswick came to work with the teens. It
was a joy to meet and work with Isaac, Chris, Karen, and Sarah. They
represented the college very well. We were impressed by the way
they conducted themselves.
Several pastors and laymen commented on how the Lord helped and
encouraged them during the camp. Many sought that help at the altar
during the services.
We will be traveling tomorrow to upstate New York for our next camp
meeting. It is the Tri-County Holiness Camp in South
Glens Falls. This will be new territory for us. It is north of
Albany and not far from the Vermont border.
Thanks for your continued support of this ministry. We appreciate
all of you very much.
Please continue to pray for my brother, Rick. As a reminder, the surgery
to remove his lower right jaw will be Monday morning at the WVU Hospital in
Morgantown, WV.

George & Pattie
Special Prayer Request
Aug 13, 2009
Dear friends & ministry partners,
I am sending this special prayer request on behalf of my younger brother,
Rick. He will be having surgery this Monday in Morgantown, WV to remove
his lower right jaw because of cancer. He just retired from the West
Virginia State Police at the end of February. Also, his wife, Kay, was
diagnosed with a form of blood cancer the week before Christmas. She is
improving and is nearly in remission, Thank the Lord!
For those of you who would like to send a note or card, their address is:
10 Latham St., Buckhannon, WV 26201
Thanks for your prayers,
George
Update from Stoutsville Camp
Aug 1, 2009
Dear friends & ministry partners,
Our third camp meeting took us to a third state, besides the state of
confusion. This time we were back in our home state of Ohio at the 113th
annual Stoutsville Camp. It is located just
five miles east of Circleville. This would be our second visit to this
camp having been there for the first time back in 2007.
This camp is unique in a few ways. Although it runs longer than any other
camp we have been to (13 days), the preaching schedule for the evangelist is
easier and shorter that most. This is possible because they have three
evangelists and instead of having all of them there for the whole camp, they
are there at separate days (Sun.- Wed., Thurs.- Sun., & Mon.- Fri.).
The first evangelist for the camp was Rev. Robert Hartman. He was there
Sunday through Wednesday. He currently serves as Vice President of
Financial Affairs at Ohio Christian University in nearby Circleville. He
previously served as Executive Director of Finance at Indiana Wesleyan
University and Vice President at Union Bible College. He was also an
interim pastor at Boswell Free Methodist Church and The Church of the
Galilean. Unfortunately, we did not get to meet him since he was gone by
the time we arrived at the camp to preach in the middle slot from Thursday
through Sunday.
Dr. Bill Ury followed us to preach the final section
of the camp from Monday through Friday. Dr. Ury
is another professor at Wesley Biblical Seminary in Jackson, MS and has taught
Systematic and Historical Theology since 1989. In addition to his degrees
from Asbury College and Drew University, he also studied for a year at the
Institute of Holy Land Studies on Mt. Zion in Jerusalem. How cool is
that???
We were thinking? Since Dr. Ury was the third
professor from Wesley Biblical Seminary that we have worked with in as many
camp this summer (Dr. Stephen Flick & Dr. John Oswalt
being the other two), would that qualify us for some kind of honorary
degree? Just a thought? Not!!! Perhaps an ornery degree, yes?
The Bible teacher for most of the camp was Rev. Ed Groff. He also
attended Asbury College and United Theological Seminary. He has pastored for more than 26 years and currently serves as
Senior Pastor at Wayne Street United Methodist Church in St. Marys, OH. He also served as Stoutsville
Camp Meeting President for many years.
Perhaps the worker with the most responsibility was Bro. Charles Dautermann who served as song evangelist and worship leader
for the entire 13 days of camp. He also directed the camp choir.
Bro. Charles was formerly a music professor at Ohio Christian University and is
currently on staff in that position at Oklahoma Wesleyan University in
Bartlesville, OK. He did an outstanding job of providing a good variety
of quality music. We certainly would recommend him.
Well, we believe this finally has us caught up with our updates for now.
We have two more camp meetings scheduled in two more states before the summer
is over. Our next one is the Shenandoah District Camp in Culloden, WV on
August 3-9. Then our final camp will be the Tri-County Holiness Camp
in South Glens Falls, NY on August 16-23.
Thanks so much for all your prayer and financial support of this
ministry. It is very much appreciated.
Together for souls,
George & Pattie
P.S. We now have some sermon CD's available for a suggested donation
of $5.00 each. We will soon have the titles listed on our website:
georgeholley.com and you can request them by email: georgeholley@hotmail.com
Update from the Bethel
Park Holiness Camp
Aug 1, 2009
Dear friends & ministry partners,
Our second camp meeting of the summer was at the Bethel Park Holiness Camp
near the historic town of Bedford, PA. It was held from July 8-19.
This was a return visit for us. We were there for their 100th
anniversary back in 2006.
Our co-worker for this years
camp was Dr. John Oswalt. Dr. Oswalt was the Old Testament research professor
at Wesley Biblical Seminary in Jackson, MS. Prior to that, he was
the professor of Old Testament & Semitic Languages at Asbury Seminary for
over 20 years as well as serving as President of Asbury College. His
writings have appeared in Bible encyclopedias, journals, and
periodicals, as well as authoring eight books and serving as editor of
multiple Bible translations. Having recently retired from Wesley Biblical
Seminary, Dr. Oswalt is returning to Asbury as a
guest professor of Old Testament Studies. It was quite an honor to
meet and work with such a brilliant Biblical scholar.
Mr. Reed Doverspike served the camp in a very
gifted way as song evangelist and worship leader. Since he grew up
at this camp, this was a return home for him. He is another gifted
member of the Asbury College Alumni. He has directed several honor
choruses and is currently an assistant principle in the Maryland public schools
near Washington DC. We enjoyed working with him and would also recommend
him.
We also had the privilege to meet WGM missionaries to Uganda, Joshua &
Kelly Hallahan. Kelly will be teaching at
Heritage International School and Joshua will be the student pastor.
Additionally, we were blessed with a concert from a group of ladies from
the "New Life For Girls" in Dover, PA.
New Life For Girls is a faith-based
rehabilitation facility and program for women who have abused drugs and/or
alcohol or have been abused. They shared wonderful testimonies of
the grace of God and the transforming power of the Blood of Jesus.
Praise the Lord!!! Together for souls,

Update from Cumberland
Grove Camp
August 1, 2009
Dear friends & ministry partners,
Our first camp meeting of the summer was the Cumberland Grove Wesleyan Camp in
Jamestown, TN on June 26 - July 5. This was the camp's 75th year or Diamond
Jubilee. Our good friend, Dr. Marlin Hotle, is
the District Superintendent presiding over the camp.
This was our first time to be at this camp and it was also our first time to
work with Dr. Stephen Flick, who served as the other evangelist. Dr.
Flick had been a church history professor at Wesley Biblical Seminary in
Jackson, MS but just moved to Clinton, TN the week of camp to become the pastor
at the Clinton First Wesleyan Church. It was an honor to meet him and his
wife and work with him. He is such a humble and gracious
man.
It was also good to work with Jay & Amber Wisler.
They did an excellent job of leading us in worship and providing the special
music. They are on staff at the Kentucky Mountain Bible College in VanCleve, KY. Although this was our first time
to work with them in this capacity, we have known both of them for quite
some time. We have been with Jay at other camps as he traveled with
various groups from the Bible College and we have know
Amber for several years as the middle daughter of Dr. Hotle.
We highly recommend them if you need singers for your church or camp event.
Since this was the camp's Diamond Jubilee Celebration, there were several
special events in addition to the regular camp services. It began with
General Superintendent, Dr. Jerry Pence, chairing their district
conference. Perhaps the highlight of the camp was the
dedication of the new retreat center which was named in honor of Dr. Marlin
R. Hotle. This is a beautiful lodging
and meeting facility that can be used all year long. It is
equipped with a kitchen and has 24 motel type rooms with private
baths and the spacious meeting room has a large stone
fireplace.
They also celebrated "the successful small church" as they focused on
the Rockwood Wesleyan Church which over the years has produced several pastors,
pastor's wives, and educators. Dr. James & Martha Blackburn were on
hand as he spoke about his home church.
A Hall of Faith was also dedicated in the new retreat center in honor of former
conference presidents and district superintendents. The Kentucky Dist.
Supt., Dr. Glen Black was the keynote speaker for this event and along with Dr.
Hotle shared the history of the Tennessee District.
Don & Cheri Floyd, career missionaries from Papua New Guinea, were
the speakers for the special missions
service. This is Cheri's home camp and the Clinton First Wesleyan
Church is her home church. It was nice that they were home on furlough
and could attend these special events before going back to the field
this fall.
Another special service was a gospel concert by national recording artists, Mencer, White, & Cheney. Not only have they
written hundreds of meaningful songs, but their tight harmony also makes
them a delight to listen to.
The 4th of July was another eventful day with a delicious
outdoor pork bar-b-que, an ole' time ring
meeting, and a fireworks display that was equal to or better
that those of most small towns. Needles to say, our first time at
the Cumberland Grove Wesleyan Camp was certainly one to remember.

Ministry Update
Jun 16, 2009
Dear friends and ministry partners,
We know it has been about three weeks since our last update. Please
accept our apology. Hopefully we can get you caught up with what
is going on in our ministry since we are currently in Oak Island, NC to
perform the wedding ceremony of our niece and have some family
vacation time.
The last we reported was during the revival at the Newport CCCU in London, OH
from May 26-29. Although the meeting was shorter than usual
because they were willing to schedule it between Memorial Day and
our next meeting which was to begin the following Sunday, we still had a
wonderful meeting with the crowd growing each night. The worship
time was very vibrant aided by several instrumentalists. We were glad to
see other churches come in support of the meeting. Pastor Gordon Ell and
others came from the Sedalia CCCU. Pastor Lee Stanley and others came
from the London CCCU and some came from the South Solon CCCU as well as the
Columbus North CCCU. This was our first opportunity to meet many of these
folks.
Our next meeting was held May 31- June 3 at the Gethsemane Baptist Church in
Glasgow, KY with Pastor Paul Davidson. This was our seventh year straight
to be with them. We always have a great time with them and their services
are some of the best attended that we have. We even had a surprise visit
on Sunday morning from a friend that drove up from Nashville, TN
to worship with us while on vacation.
This congregaton always seems
to be sensitive to their spiritual needs and are very willing and not
the least hesitant to seek help at an altar of prayer.
We always enjoy sweet fellowship with them and were thankful for the
opportunity one morning after breakfast to go motorcycle riding with
Pastor Davidson and his brother-in-law. Since we have done this in
previous years someone in the congregation had an airbrushed t-shirt made with
the picture of a motorcycle that read
"Holley-Davidson". Don't you think that would be a
great name for a motorcycle company? Has a certain ring to it
doesn't it? Wouldn't be surprised if that caught on.
Someone ought to start a company like that, I'm sure it would soon be a cycle
legend?
Our travels took us from Glasgow, KY to Weirton, WV. We were at the
Chapel Hill Wesleyan Church with Pastor Marvin Taylor from June 7-10.
Pastor Marvin and his wife, Kathryn, have been faithfully ministering to this
congregation for 42 years. How amazing and remarkable is that?
Needless to say, their respect and influence has gone beyond the four walls of
the church and has extended throughout the entire community.
It has been a real challenge for them to have consistant
growth in a church that is located in a city that has felt the
impact of the declining steel industry while proclaiming the message of
holiness in an area where the gaming industry has increased. These
challenges would have probably proven too big for many short term pastoral
couples. However, they are doing a good job at meeting these challenges
over the long haul and are making a difference in the lives of people
from all walks of life. Way to go, dear friends!!!
Since Weirton, WV is only a few miles from the PA state line, we discoverd that many in that area are huge Pittsburg sports
fans, especially when it comes to the Steelers and Penguins. This was not the time nor place not to be a hockey fan and we didn't
have the nerve to mention the fact we don't care much for the Steelers
either.
It was obvious there were some serious fans among the congregation when they
expressed their concern over the Penguins 5-0 loss to the Red Wings on
Saturday night to go down 3-1 in the Stanley Cup series. We suppose
they are much happier now since we heard that their Pens (as they so proudly
refer to them) won the Stanley Cup title on Friday night.
As mentioned earlier, we are currently enjoying some time off but will be
gearing up for a rather busy summer with five camp meetings on our
schedule. The first one will be the Tenn. District Wesleyan Camp in
Jamestown, TN where Dr. Marlin Hotle is the
D.S. The dates for that camp are June 26- July 5. If you
are in that area we would love to see you. It would be a beautiful
area to both worship and vacation.
Thanks for your continued support of this ministry.

Update from Augustaville
May 28, 2009
Dear friends & ministry partners,
Our last revival was held just prior to the Memorial Day weekend. We were
at the Augustaville Wesleyan Church in Augustaville, PA from May 18-20. Rev. Greg Clendaniel is the pastor. Augustaville
is a small village in central PA just a few miles from the Sunbury area near
the Susquehanna river. It is a beautiful area,
especially this time of year.
We stayed in the home of a retired pastoral couple, Rev. Charles & Diane Haffling. They have a lovely hilltop home that
overlooks the Dornsife Mtn. area and were very
gracious hosts. We had a great time of fellowship.
The services went very well and the congregation was very receptive to the
Word of God. Although there was not much visible repsonse
to the invitations, several commented on how they received help
spiritually during the meeting for which we praise the Lord.
Several folks from area churches had heard us back in 2006 at the
Willow Lake Camp Meeting and came in support of the meeting. Pastor
Larry Baney came with some from the Christ Community
Wesleyan Church in Rebuck. Pastor
Bob Jones came with some from the Stoington
Wesleyan Church. Others came from the Trinity Wesleyan Church
in Sunbury, the Milton Wesleyan Church, the Port Ann Wesleyan Church, and
even from as far away as the Summit Hill Wesleyan Church.
We made the 500 mile trip back home on Thursday,May
21 and enjoyed having the long Memorial Day weekend off to spend time
with family and friends and worship at our home church in Crown City.
We traveled to the Columbus, OH area on Tuesday to stay with our sons while in
revival at the Newport CCCU in London, OH with Pastor Bill Crowe. The
meeting started on Tuesday evening and will
continue through Friday night at 7:00pm. We will give you that
update later at the conclusion of the meeting.
Thanks for your faithful support of this ministry. We appreciate you
very much.

Update from Parkersburg
revival
May 14, 2009
Dear friends & ministry
partners,
As we mentioned in our last update, this week we were in revival in
Parkersburg, WV at the Davis Memorial Wesleyan Church with Pastor Ron Drillien. We began there on Mother's Day morning and
concluded on Wednesday night.
They had a good attendance on Sunday morning with those who had come in
respect, honor, or memory of their mothers. The service was followed by a
delicious carry-in dinner in their fellowship hall.
Since the church was only about 80 miles from our home, we were able to stay at
home and commute back and forth to the services. It is always nice to get
to be at home a little longer. It also gave us a chance to get caught up
with grass mowing which has been difficult to do with all of the rain and a
limited time in which to get it done.
It was good to be with the Drilliens again. We
were first with them when they pastored at the Point
Pleasant Wesleyan Church back in the late 80's and only got to see them a few
times after that while he was the Dist. Supt. in the former West
Virginia District . This is their second time to
pastor the Parkersburg church and have been there now for 11 years. They
have done alot of updating and renovating to the
building and it really looks nice. The church is doing well under his
leadership and has a good mixture of all age groups. They have a good
music program that involves some of their young people.
Several visitors came to be involved in the meeting. Some came with Rev.
Russell Wooten from the Homeland Community Church. Some came with Rev.
Roger McCoy from the Stewart Wesleyan Church. We appreciated Rev. & Mrs. Phil Ridenour coming to be with us. It
was good to meet Pastor Bob McClung from the Laurel Cliff Free-Methodist
Church. Others came from Nazarene churches in Belpry
and others came from Gallipolis and Crown City. We thank the Lord for all
those that came and for all those that received help during the meeting.
Upcoming meetings:
May 17-20 Augustaville Wesleyan Church in Paxinos, PA
May 26-29 Newport Church of Christ in Christian Union in London, OH
May 31 - June 3 Gethsemane Baptist Church in Glasgow, KY
June 7-10 Chapel Hill Wesleyan Church in Weirton, WV
Thanks for your continued support of this ministry.

Ministry Update
May 14, 2009
Dear friends &
ministry partners,
We finished out the month of April at the Little Country Church in Waynesburg,
OH with Pastor Bill Carter. This was our tenth revival since the first of
March. Needless to say, it has been a very busy spring, for which we are
very grateful.
We had a wonderful meeting at the Little Country Church. Although this
was our first time there, we discovered that the people were very easy to
preach to and were very responsive to the Word of God. We had met several
of them when we were at the Hollow Rock Camp Meeting and also at the Peace
Valley Camp Meeting in Florida.
Different members of the congregation provided a good variety of quality music
for the meeting and their worship leader did an great
job of leading us in blended songs that were both uplifting and spiritual.
Some of our friends from the Dueber United Methodist
Church came over to the services. These two churches are only about ten
miles or so apart. We also had visits by friends from the Feed Springs
Church in Cadiz, OH and from Hayden Baptist Church in Hilliard, OH.
Pastor Bill is doing a good job and was just voted in for three more years at
the church.
Our next meeting took us to another new church in Howard, PA. We were at
the Summit Hill Wesleyan Church on May 3-6, with Pastor Ken
Stephens. This is a beautiful area that is surrounded by the Bald Eagle
Mountain range. For some strange reason, this bald headed evangelist
seemed to feel right at home and be at one with this environment, go
figure?
Pastor Ken has provided consistent leadership to this congregation for nearly
twenty five years and has had success in both numerical growth and a building
program. We also discovered that he is quite the artist in the field of
taxidermy and has won several awards for his work. While staying with
them, we were able to take a tour of his workshop and display room. It
was obvious why he had won the awards. The artistry was pretty
impressive.
The revival at Summit Hill went very well with good attendance from all age
groups. Their worship time was enhanced by skilled and vibrant musicains that made it an enjoyable and
exciting experience. We were glad to have some of the other
area churches attend the meeting. Some came from the Eagle Heights Bible
Church, some came with Pastor Dan Longmore from the
Marsh Creek Brethren in Christ Church, and some came with Pastor Ken Lynn from
the Lighthouse Wesleyan Church from Jersey Shores. There was such a sweet
spirit of unity and harmony in the services.
Our next meeting took us to the state of West Virginia. We were
at the Davis Memorial Wesleyan Church in Parkersburg with Pastor Ron Drillien. We will tell you more about that in our
next update.
Thanks for your continued support of this ministry. We appreciate all of
you very much.

Update from Easter
revival
Apr 27, 2009
Dear friends & ministry partners,
Here in the north it seems as though all of creation is proclaiming the message
of the resurrection as spring breaks forth in its full splender
and beauty. The birds are busy singing and building their nests and the
blossoms of the trees and flowers are bursting with stunning colors.
With harmony, they all seem to be saying loud and clear, "He Is
Alive!".
We were also celebrating the resurrection of our Lord in northwest Ohio at the Trinity
Wesleyan Church in Lima, OH with Pastor Eric Allen. We began our meeting
there on Easter Sunday and concluded it on Wednesday, April 15 (not only tax
day but also our 52nd birthday).
They had a good crowd on Easter Sunday and the revival got off to a great
start with several of the seasonal attenders praying
through to victory at the altar. The remaining services also went very
well. Pastor Eric's wife, Debbie, did a good job leading us in worship
and provided most of the special music. We had a great time of fellowship
with these folks throughout the week.
We were also appreciative of those who visited from area churches. Pastor
Floyd Thomas and some of his people came from the Beech Grove Wesleyan
Church. Pastor Wayne Prater and several others came from the Delphos Weselyan Church as they dismissed their Wednesday evening
service. Pastor Steve Chapman and his family came over from the Sidney
Wesleyan Church. We even had a few come from the First Church of the
Nazarene in Lima.
Thanks for your continued prayer and financial support of this ministry.

Update from Carrollton
Wesleyan revival
Apr 14, 2009
Dear friends & ministry partners,
After finishing the revival in Guyandotte, WV., we
traveled to the third state in our tri-state area which is the state of
Kentucky. We were at the Carrollton Wesleyan Church in Carrollton, KY
with Pastor Jonathan Haynes from April 5-8. He and his wife, Pam, came
there soon after we were last there three years ago. This is Pam's home
area. She grew up in the Wesleyan Church in nearby Milton, KY. They are
doing a good job and are seeing some growth as a result of their labors.
They pastored several churches in the former West
Virginia District and we first met them back in 1984 at district functions
while we were an assistant pastor at the First Wesleyan Church in Huntington,
WV.
The special music and worship was led by a young couple by the name of Shannon
& Brook Barrett from Richmond, KY. The Carrollton Church was also
Brook's home church. They put alot of heart
into the worship and taught the congregation several news songs and choruses
along with some old familiar favorites.
We had one conversion on Sunday morning and others sought help from the
Lord throughout the week. There was a wonderful atmosphere in the
services and many exciting testimonies filled the air.
As an additional note, thanks for praying for Pattie and the other district
ladies that went on the missions trip to Mexico.
They arrived safely back in Columbus last Thursday afternoon. They
accomplished a great deal of work in a short amount of time and ministered
to about 750 ladies in 5 different churches.
We are currently in revival in Lima, OH at the Trinity Wesleyan Church with
Pastor Eric Allen. We will give you an update on this meeting later.
Hope you had a very blessed and happy Easter as we celebrated the glorious
resurrection of our Lord this past Sunday. Remember, He is as alive today
as He was then!!!
A special note of thanks for your continued support of
this ministry. Please know that we don't say that lightly and
never want to take it for granted. While we were having our taxes
done last week, we were reminded of how important each of our
supporters are to this work. As we
were adding all of our expenses together and comparing them with
the total of the honorariums that we received from our meetings, it was very
apparent that we could not have made it without your additional support to this
ministry. We know that all of you are feeling the
effects of these difficult economic times and have had to make some tuff
choices as to what you will do with your money. We are thankful that you
have chosen to use some of it to support this work. Please know that this
is not a plea for more support but it is simply a word of praise for the
support that we have received. You help make it possible for us
to stay on the road.

Update from New Miami
Mar 27, 2009
Dear friends & ministry partners,
This week found us in revival at the New Miami Wesleyan Church in New Miami, OH
with Pastor Roger Shaw. We began on Sunday morning and concluded on Wednesday
night. This church has a special place in our heart since it was the first
congregation in the Cincinnati area to schedule us for a meeting in our first
year as an evangelist (2002) and has had us back every year since then. That
first meeting was responsible for many more open doors in that area for which
we are very grateful.
Pastor Roger has provided stable and consistant
leadership to this area in spite of juggling the demands of being
bi-vocational. In addition to pastoring, he is also a
full-time bus driver for the public schools and a chaplain for the Indiana
Wesleyan University branches in Cincinnati and Dayton.
We had a very good meeting this week. There was a good spirit in the services
and definite victories. We also enjoyed and appreciated the music that was
provided in this meeting. On Sunday, Mike Williams, a retired Nazarene song
evangelist, did an excellent job leading us in worship and providing special
vocal and piano music. On Monday & Tuesday, various members from the
Community Church blessed us with special music and on Wednesday, John Herrmann,
from the New Miami church did likewise. Several churches from this area also
supported this meeting. The ones that we are aware of were:
Rev. Jack Woodward and The Community Church; Rev. Alex Mandura
and Fairfield Wesleyan Church; Rev. Walt Philpot and The Freedom Chapel; Rev.
Wallace Marshall and West Chester Wesleyan Church; Rev. Don Hubbard and Northview Wesleyan Church; and the Elmwood Wesleyan Church.
Looking ahead - here is a list of some of our upcoming revivals:
Mar.28- Apr. 1 Guyandotte Baptist Church in Guyandotte, WV
April 5-8 Carrolton Wesleyan Church in Carrolton, KY
April 12-15 Trinity Wesleyan Church in Lima, OH
April 19-22 Deuber Methodist Church in Canton, OH
April 26-28 Little Country Church in Waynesburg, OH

Thanks for your continued support of this ministry.

Update
from Oak Grove
Mar 27, 2009
Dear friends & ministry partners,
On March 10-13, we were in revival at the Oak Grove Wesleyan Church near Nelsonville,
OH with Pastor Dave Cogar. The Lord was so gracious to meet with us give us a
good meeting. The church has experienced some growth since we were there last
year and it was good to see some new faces in the crowd as well as many very
dear long-time friends. There was an outstanding show of support for the
revival from area pastors and churches. At least a dozen were represented over
the course of the meeting. Among them were: Rev. Phil Ridenour and the Mineral
Holiness Church; Rev. Roger McCoy and the Stewart Wesleyan Church; Rev. Tim
Poling and the Murray City Wesleyan Church; Rev. Jason Fisher and the
Nelsonville Holiness Mission; Rev. Mike Thomas and the Nelsonville Wesleyan
Church; Rev. Paul Wilson and the Carpenter Baptist Church; Rev. Ed True and the
Nelsonville Church of the Nazarene; Rev. James Mathias and the Coonville
Holiness Church; the Amesville Bethel Wesleyan Church; the Asbury United
Methodist Church; the Connett Methodist Church; and the Buchtel Methodist
Church.
Needless to say, the spirit of unity was amazing. I believe this speaks very
well of the good standing that this church and pastor has in this rural
community.
Thanks for your continued support of this ministry.

Update from Crown City
Mar 27, 2009
Dear friends & ministry partners,
After the Oak Grove revival, our next meeting took us to our home church in
Crown City, OH. We were at the Crown City Wesleyan Church with Pastor Scott
Planck from March 15-20. It is always quite a nostalgic moment for us when we
have the opportunity to preach in the church that we pastored
for 17 years and have attended since 1970. The Lord was so good to meet with us
and help us in these services. This was perhaps one of the best revivals that
the church has experienced in recent history. It was the best attended revival
that we can ever remember in the church. Each night seemed to build on the
previous night. Had we not been scheduled for another meeting, we no doubt
would have continued into the next week. There was a wonderful spirit of
excitement among the congregation.
The music for the revival was outstanding. In addition to church vocalists,
special music was provided by The Forgiven 4 Quartet on Mon.-Wed. and The Good News Trio on Thurs.-Fri. Both groups not only have
terrific talent but also great spirit. The Lord used them in a mighty way.
In like manner to the Oak Grove revival, there was also great community support
for this meeting from area pastors and churches. Among those that we were aware
of were: Rev. Carl Ward and the White Oak Baptist
Church; Rev. Harold Hamlin and the Getaway Methodist Church; Rev. Bob Fulton
and the Gallipolis Church of the Nazarene; Rev. Fred Crabtree and the Oak Hill
Trinity Wesleyan Church; Rev. Phil Ridenour and the Mineral Holiness Church;
Elizabeth Chapel Church; Defender Methodist Church; Merceville
Baptist Church; Crown City Community Church; Kings Chapel Church; Gallipolis
First Baptist Church; and Huntington First Church of the Nazarene.
It is very evident that the days of revival are not over and the desire and
need for revival are as great as they have ever been.
Thanks for your continued support of this ministry.

Ministry Update
Mar 6, 2009
Dear friends & ministry partners,
The last time we sent out an update was at the end of January. We have been
pretty busy since then. On Feb. 1-4, we attended revival services at the Faith
Wesleyan Church in Lakeland, FL and had the privilege to sit under the
preaching of our very dear friend, Dr. Marlin Hotle
and the singing of our dear friend, Ken Osborne. They both did a wonderful job.
Our oldest son, Aaron, was also able to fly down and spend that week with us
and we were able to drive over to the Gulf Coast and Atlantic Coast and do some
sightseeing with him.
On Feb. 5, I preached during the morning worship service at the Faith Wesleyan
Church and that evening I preached at the Lakeland Holiness Camp (this was
their normal Sunday evening service not their campmeeting
service).
On Feb. 12, we attended the opening service of the Lakeland Holiness Camp. Dr.
Norman Wilson preached that night and our dear friends, The Leckrones
provided the music. This was the first time we ever had the opportunity to hear
Dr. Wilson in person. It was a very good service and very well attended.
Feb. 13 was Pattie's birthday (you will have to ask her which one?) and we
spent the day at Disney's Epcot Center with the family for whom she babysits.
We had a great day and it was so good to see the three little boys again after
being away from them for nearly two months. They are like grandchildren to us.
On Feb. 14, we flew to Georgetown, Grand Cayman for our revival at the
Georgetown Wesleyan Holiness Church with Pastor John Jefferson. He is such a
precious man of God. At 82, he has the energy of someone 20 years younger. We
love being on the island and being with these gracious people. They are people
of prayer and have a real heart for God. We appreciated the support in the
revival from the pastors and congregations of the West Side Wesleyan Holiness
Church, the North Side Holiness Church, the Red Bay Church of God Holiness, and
the Ambassadors Church. Many received spiritual help and were encouraged by the
services.
We arrived back in Florida on Feb. 23 and headed back north on Feb. 25. Before
arriving in Ohio, we made a brief stop in Buckhannon, WV to make a surprise
appearance at a luncheon in honor of my younger brother's retirement (what's
that???) from the West Virginia State Police Department. It was a special
moment for him and our family. We arrived back home on Feb. 27 and left home on
the 28th to begin our next two revivals near Sunbury, OH. Since these churches
are less than 5 miles apart, these were going to be joint meetings between the
Olive Green CCCU with Pastor Ken Mossor and the Fargo
Wesleyan Church with Pastor John Brock. We began the meeting at the Olive Green
Church on Sunday, March 1, and then moved to the Fargo Church on Thursday and
will conclude there on Sunday evening, March 8. The Tuggle
Family has been providing some very inspirational down-home music for both
meetings. Rev. Mark Tuggle, of the group, pastors the
nearby Centerburg Enterprise Baptist Church. Other churches attending the
meetings have included the Johnstown CCCU and the Raymond CCCU. If you are in
the area, we would love to have you come and worship with us.
Here is a list of a few of our upcoming revivals:
March 10-13 Oak Grove Wesleyan Church near Nelsonville, OH with Pastor Dave Cogar
March 15-20 Crown City Wesleyan Church in Crown City, OH with Pastor Scott
Planck
March 22-25 New Miami Wesleyan Church in New Miami, OH with Pastor Roger Shaw
March 29- April 1 Guyandotte Baptist Church in Guyandotte, WV with Pastor Brian
Schnieder.
Thanks so much for your continued prayer and financial support of this
ministry. You make it possible for us to stay on the road.

George & Pattie
Update from Florida
Jan 29, 2009
Dear friends & ministry partners,
Greetings from sunny Lakeland, FL. We have seen in the news and heard from many
of you about the snow and frigid temperatures back home in Ohio and surrounding
states. Although we do miss seeing many of you, we do not miss the cold weather
at all!!!
We arrived in Lakeland, FL on Jan. 5 and was there
until we left on Jan. 15 to go to our scheduled camp meeting in Bowling Green,
FL. We were given the opportunity to preached on
Sunday night, Jan. 11, for Pastor Dennis Waymire
while in Lakeland. We consider him as our "Florida pastor" and Faith
Wesleyan as our "Florida home church".
On Jan. 15, we traveled 35 miles south of Lakeland to Bowling
Green. This is the location of the 57th annual Peace Valley Camp
Meeting. We were there last year for the first time. It is held on the grounds
of the Caring People Ministries. This is a faith based rehab facility for women
who have abused drugs and/or alcohol and/or have been abused themselves. The
women and camp workers stay on the property and everyone else drives in for the
services. Pattie did the teaching for the Bible study every weekday morning at
10:30am and I did the preaching for the 7:00pm evening services and both
services on Sundays. This is the only place that Pattie and I have worked
together since we left the pastorate. It was so good to have her with me, for
several reasons!! We also worked with some very dear friends, Ken & Ann
Osborne. Bro. Ken was the worship leader and provided the special music. He
does such a good job and is so sensitive and puts so much into what he does.
His presence there was a definite answer to prayer. He had hip replacement
surgery last June and has had complications with infections ever since. It even
required the removal of the new hip and the insertion of a temporary spacer and
then the placement of another new hip. We were glad to see him walking around
with only the assistance of a cane. They have a wonderful testimony of how God
has helped them and seen them through this storm in their life. We were also
thankful for Ms. Grace Anderson, a very accomplished pianist from Avon Park,
for assisting Bro. Ken during the worship services.
We considered it our honor and privilege to get to meet and minister to these
precious women who were in the rehab program of Caring People Ministries. It
would have been worth the whole trip even if they had been the only ones to
attend the services. According to their personal testmonies,
they received much needed spiritual help and healing from the Word of God, from
times of prayer at the altar, and from other daily interaction during the
eleven days of the camp.
In addition to the women of CPM, several drove in from the surrounding areas.
Many came from both the Lakeland Holiness Camp and Lakeland Faith Wesleyan
Church. Others came from Avon Park, Bartow, Ft. Meade, and Wachula.
The camp concluded on Sunday, Jan. 25 and we returned to Lakeland on Monday
afternoon. We will be hear
until Feb. 14, when we will then fly to our revival in the Cayman Islands.
To our northern friends and family, please stay warm and be safe on those snowy
and icy roads. To all of you, we love and appreciate you. Thanks for your
continued support of this ministry.
Together for souls,
George & Pattie
